Spurred by this rejection, Barnes began the years-long research that eventually led to the remarkable revelations concerning the foundation of western culture, spelled out in detail for the first time his book IN SEARCH OF THE LOST FEMININE.

Barnes has also been an essayist, commentator on PBS & NPR, editor, playwright, and negotiator during the wars of ethnic cleansing in the Caucuses of the former Soviet Union, as well as in water issues in Central Asia. DIGITAL MEDIA IN NEW MEXICO: STATE OF THE INDUSTRY

Note the following comment from Eric Renz-Whitmore of UNM MISP:
"With all the success New Mexico has achieved in becoming a media production center outside Hollywood, this won't be truly sustainable until there are more companies based here, generating income and building infrastructure that stay in New Mexico. Albuquerque Studios, Sony Pictures Imageworks and now Santa Fe Studios are huge steps forward in making this happen, but even so, we still need the smaller start-ups (and for small operations to grow to mid-size) in order to achieve our goals.

Educating and building awareness among the venture and wider investment community about how the business of film, animation, games and other media work is an ongoing effort that's essential to that process. If you're interested in the success of our 'media industries' -- and your own business -- I'd suggest attending Thursday's Coronado Ventures Forum."
