“Woman Conquers All” Advertising Campaign!
Seeking intelligent, strong, active, accomplished women who have discovered, defined and achieved their own brand of success, women who are realizing their dreams in life, against the odds. Be a part of the effort to celebrate women and their accomplishments for a major fashion campaign.
Liz Claiborne New York is re-launching its brand in 2009. Their belief is that the fashion industry is inundated with images that have nothing to do with real women and how they live their lives. That’s why they want to use only real women, not models, to be the stars of their new ad campaign that will re-launch this every-woman’s brand of clothing.
At a time when business was pretty much the sole domain of men, Liz was the first woman to build a Fortune 500 company and the first woman to be a Fortune 500 CEO. To celebrate and continue her amazing legacy, we are looking for women from all walks of life, all ethnicities, ranging in age from 25 to 75, sizes 2 to 16—women who have accomplished and acquired a level of success against the odds by either working in a male-dominated field, getting educated, managing a family, or pursuing ambitions and goals beyond everyone else’s expectations. In these portrait profiles, we will showcase how work, family, perseverance and dreams have come together to create a transformational and multi-faceted life. These are not “triumph over adversity” stories, but stories of lives well lived.
The campaign will be used for advertising, in-store and on the web.
Candidates must be:
--Women between the ages of 25 and 75, sizes 2 – 16, any ethnicity
--Available for a one-day shoot at the end of October in NYC
(talent will be compensated at the rate of $2500+)
Via email, please submit a photograph of yourself, either by yourself, or with someone whom you consider an integral part of your support team—mother, grown daughter, sister, friend or mentor. Please also answer the following:
1) Where do you live?
2) What is your occupation?
3) What is the biggest obstacle you’ve faced while pursuing your dream?
4) What is your proudest achievement?
5) Tell us something interesting or surprising about yourself.
6) Clothing sizes: height, dress, skirt, shirt, trousers, shoe.
7) Age.
Please keep answers brief and don’t forget to supply us with a phone number and email where you can be reached. Submissions will be kept confidential and used only for the purposes of casting this project.
