HONOLULU, HAWAII: Hawaii’s very own independent feature film ALL FOR MELISSA has been selected as the top 10 finalist in a competition called From Here to Awesome: Alternative Film Fest!
Gerard Elmore, Director, ALL FOR MELISSA debut feature film world premiered at the 2007 Hawaii International Film Festival to sold-out audiences. From Here To Awesome award finalists are granted world wide release through global placement in today’s fastest growing technology of online festival circuit, handheld devices, Amazon Unbox, Netflix, Hulu and VUDU. All revenues go to the filmmakers!
Gerard has proven to many folks that you can be a home grown Hawaii independent filmmaker and premiere your creative projects worldwide with today’s technology advances. This locally grown independent film is a result of Gerard’s vision and sense of ‘ohana with his fellow indie filmmakers. Everyone coming together to fulfill a dream of Gerard’s has been a joy for the entire team. The sentiment is evident by everyone that participated in the production of ALL FOR MELISSA.
The good news does not stop there! ALL FOR MELISSA has been officially picked up for National DVD distribution! Echo Bridge Entertainment is our new home. The DVD will be packed with goodies galore and it will be released around the first week of November. So stay tuned for updates! We are planning a release party and looking to team up with HIFF again for the movie. Our little movie is headed to your nearest Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy, and other big retail stores.

The first edition of FROM HERE TO AWESOME, an open-source discovery and distribution film festival is coming to a theater, living room, computer, and / or mobile device near you. The festival kicks off July 26th in Los Angeles and rollouts out over a six-month period with stops in New York, San Francisco, Boston and London. Filmmakers retain all the rights, see direct revenue from each of the outlets and enjoy global audiences.
